Description

A new commemorative Fifty Pence coin was produced in 2009 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the Royal Botanic Gardens. The design, by Christopher Le Brun, features the Great Pa#@$%a encircled by a vine. The anniversary dates ‘1759’ and ‘2009 are present above the design on either side of the Pa#@$%a with the word ‘KEW’ at the base. Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is shown on the Obverse.
